Every app you run has one dial: how much you want to be asked before the Service acts. There are three settings.
Every piece of work is proposed to you before it happens. This is the most careful setting — good for your first week, or your first app, while you are still getting a feel for how things move.
Work runs on its own, but the Service still stops and asks before anything that touches money, is seen by the public, or is a genuine open question. This is where most established apps settle.
Your standing consent: every one of those checks clears on its own. Spending still stays inside the limits you set, but nothing pauses to ask first. Use this once you trust the rhythm of your app, not on day one.
A gate is any moment the Service could act but chooses to check with you first instead — spending real money, publishing something the public will see, changing a price, or a genuine fork in the road with no obviously right answer. Gates exist so nothing risky or public-facing happens without your say-so, no matter which mode you are on. Supervised simply adds many more of them; Bypass removes them entirely, once you have told it to.
You can change your mode at any time from the dashboard, for one app or for all of them at once. Nothing about an earlier choice locks you in.
